BAGHDAD - Two car bomb explosions targeted Iranian pilgrims in Baghdad on Saturday, killed 7 people and wounded 46 others, an Interior Ministry source said.

The other attack against Iranian pilgrims took place at al-Sadrain intersection in Baghdad northern district of Shula when a car bomb struck a bus carrying Iranian Shiite pilgrims, killing two people and wounding 28 others, the source said.
Insurgents frequently attacked Iranian pilgrims who enter Iraq to visit the holy Shiite shrines and mosques in Iraqi cities.
Earlier, the source had said that separate bomb attacks across the capital killed a civilian and wounded 15 people, bringing the toll for Saturday to eight killed and 61 wounded.
Violence and sporadic high-profile bomb attacks continue in the Iraqi cities despite the country's lawmakers approved an agreement that aimed at bringing Iraq's feuding political blocs into a new government led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
