KUNDUZ - The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) forces raided Taliban hideout in northern Kunduz province early Wednesday and eliminated four insurgents, a local official said.
The troops also captured two persons on charge of having link with Taliban militants, he further said.
Taliban insurgents have yet to make comment.
Meantime, ISAF in a statement released here said that "Afghan and coalition security forces killed several armed insurgents and detained two suspected insurgents during their search for a high- ranking Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan senior leader in Kunduz province last night."
Without providing more details, the ISAF statement said that assault force protected the women and children throughout the operation.
Chardara has been regarded as the stronghold of Taliban militants in Kunduz province bordering Tajikistan.
