PARIS - A French military jet crashed Tuesday in southeastern France after the pilot safely ejected, the air force said in a statement.
The Alpha jet, a light attack aircraft, plunged to the ground near the civil airfield of Plan-de-Dieu, in the southeastern department of Vaucluse.
The lone pilot suffered slight injuries and was taken to a military hospital.
The reason for the crash was still unknown and an investigation continues, the air force said.
