6.2 magnitude earthquake hits Philippine capital

MANILA - A strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale hit Manila, the Philippine capital on Thursday, at around 13:30 p.m. local time, according to the government seismology institute.  

Xinhua correspondent in Manila felt the tremor.

So far, there is no immediate report of causalities and damages.
