"The construction of the LNG receiving terminal needs a huge investment. Therefore we will offer the project to the South Korean government in an energy forum there," said the Director General of Oil and Natural Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Evita Herawati Legowo, referring to "the 3rd Indonesia-Korea Energy Forum" (IKEF) on March 25-26.

According to Evita, for the first phase, the government will build several LNG receiving terminals in North Sumatra, West Java, East Java, Bali, and South Sulawesi provinces.

"We need many LNG receiving terminals, with the most urgent in North Sumatra and West Java," he said.
