TOKYO: A fishing boat carrying 10 crew members went missing and might have capsized Tuesday off the Goto Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, Kyodo News repoarted.

The Japanese Coast Guard has dispatched an airplane and a patrol boat to the area to search for the 113-ton Yamada Maru No. 2, with which contact was lost at around 4 am Tuesday.

Of the 10 crew members, six are Chinese and the rest Japanese, according to the Coast Guard.

Another boat found a rescue raft apparently belonging to the Yamada Maru No. 2 in the area at around 5 am, but no one was on it, the report said.

Winds of 46.8 kilometers per hour were blowing off the islands at the time.
