JAKARTA: The return of two officials of Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission on duty, who were deactivated by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, should be via a presidential decree, an official said here on Tuesday.

"The two officials, Bibit Samad Rianto and Chandra M. Hamzah, were deactivated by a presidential decree, so it needs the same instrument to reactivate them," said M. Jasin, the agency's deputy head, told the press.

Jasin expected that the reactivation decree would be issued in accordance with another decree that deactivates replacement officials of Bibit and Chandra.

"I think Mas Ahmad Santosa and Waluyo as the replacement officials would automatically quit following the decree issuance," said Jasin.

He added that official mutation is a common thing in government institutions.

"The most important thing is that there wouldn't be two leaderships in an institution," he said.

Jasin also said that his institution will always obey the law in conducting anything.
