TEGUCIGALPA: The negotiating commissions aimed to reach an exit to the political crisis in Honduras resumed on Thursday the dialogue after six days of suspension.

The dialogue was resumed after a US team led by Assistant Secretary of State Thomas Shannon arrived in Honduras with the mission of leading a final effort to end the crisis caused by the June 28 coup that ousted elected President Manuel Zelaya.

The secretary of Political Affairs of the Organization of American States, Victor Rico, also attended Thursday's dialogue.

Vilma Morales, member of the de facto government commission said this day was special for Honduras because "we will fix everything" for the peace and reconciliation of the country.

Morales added that she is satisfied for being again at the negotiation table with her colleagues representing Zelaya.

"We are here ready, we are ready to sing the agreement and to finish with this dialogue which has given hopes to Honduras," Morales said during a press conference.

Meanwhile, Zelaya's representative Rodil Rivera said "we will sit down to sign the agreements we have reached, mainly the one regarding the Congress to decide if it restitutes or not Zelaya" in power.

Last Friday, both sides had reached 95 percent of the agreement, but Zelaya's restitution in power jammed the negotiations.

On Wednesday night Zelaya's representative Victor Meza had told the press that "the dialogue is over."
