DPRK urges ROK to improve inter-Korean relations

PYONGYANG: The official Rodong Sinmun daily of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) urged the Republic of Korea (ROK) Saturday to take actions to improve inter-Korean relations, in a bid to realize the national reunification.

Improving inter-Korean relations was a precondition of the national reunification, said an article carried by the Rodong Sinmun.

The DPRK had taken practical actions to improve inter-Korean relations since August, which showed the will of the DPRK to develop inter-Korean relations, it said,  urging South Korea to abandon its confrontation policy.

The DPRK has taken a series of gentle measures toward the ROK, including resuming border tourism and reunions of separated families.
