Several injured in fresh Honduran clash

TEGUCIGALPA: A clash between soldiers and followers from ousted President Manuel Zelaya left several injured on Thursday here.

Xinhua's reporter witnessed how an adult person was shot in the head when the police and military forces tried to stop a demonstration to support Zelaya in Belen sector, north of Tegucigalpa.

The police also attacked reporters from international press. Among them, reporters from Venezuelan TV channel Telesur were asked to surrender their videotapes and a reporter from news agency IndyMedia was also attacked.

During the demonstration, of some 300 people, the police detained leader from the People's Block, Juan Barahona, who has been one of the main activist of the People's Resistance movement against the coup.
