Hanging cables stops NYC subway lines

Updated: 2009-07-30 23:44 NEW YORK: Service on some New York City subway lines between Manhattan and Brooklyn were halted on Thursday due to "hanging cables" at the Wall Street station, the Metropolitan Transport Authority (MTA) said. "Due to hanging cables at the Wall Street station there is No 4 and 5 train service between Nevin Street station (Brooklyn) and Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall station (Manhattan) in both directions," the MTA said in a recorded message. |
