TV: Indonesian incumbent president leads votes

JAKARTA: With more than 50 percent votes counted in the quick count process, Indonesian incumbent president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono still leads with more than 54 percent votes, Metro TV reported here on Wednesday.

Megawati Soekarnoputri of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) seized more than 28 percent votes. Meanwhile Jusuf Kalla from the Golkar party gained more than 17 percent.

The results of quick counts conducted by other TV stations and prominent websites in the country also showed landslide win for Susilo and Boediono pairing with more than 50 percent votes.
