PRICEVILLE, Ala. – Authorities say a man suspected of shooting and killing his estranged wife and three others in rural north Alabama apparently took his own life as well.

Travis Clemmons, chief investigator for the Lauderdale County sheriff's office, said the body of Kevin Garner was found Tuesday near his home in Priceville, which burned to the ground overnight. He said Garner apparently killed himself and a weapon was recovered.

He said the bodies of Garner's estranged wife, Tammy, their 16-year-old daughter, his sister and his sister's 11-year-old son were found earlier in a home in Green Hill, a small community near the Tennessee line in a nearby county.

The Garners were in divorce proceedings with the trial set for Wednesday morning.
