Updated: 2009-03-22 20:43 A German saleswoman found 28 kilograms (60 pounds) of cocaine worth over a million euros (US$1.35 million) while she was unpacking crates of bananas in southern Germany. The 26-year-old shop assistant immediately alerted the police about the 26 packets of cocaine she had stumbled upon Wednesday. "Fruit boxes are imported into Germany from Colombia via the Belgian port of Antwerp and they probably were mixed up when they were being loaded onto the delivery trucks," a Bavarian police official said Friday. Some dealers must have picked up the wrong boxes, he said. |
