7 tigers die in one week in Nepal

KATHMANDU -- Seven tigers died within the past one week in western Nepal, Nepali national news agency RSS reported Saturday.

According to the police, seven tigers were found dead at Bankaya of Dulaigauda Village Development Committee (VDC), Kobereni VDC and Januma VDC, Tanahun district, some 110 km west of Nepali capital Kathmandu.

Reason behind the deaths is still unclear, said the District Forest Office of Tanahun, adding that investigation into the incident is in progress.
