A pair of Olive Ridley turtles mate on the Bay of Bengal near Rushikulya, abut 130 km (84 miles) from the eastern Indian town of Bhubaneswar, January 4, 2009. The turtles have started mating in the sea near the Rushikulya river mouth, enlivening hopes among environmental activists that they may arrive at the coast in the coming months to lay their eggs, local media reported.
