Three men, one of them armed with a sawn-off shotgun, held Roche along with other guest and members of staff hostage when they raided the Marriott Hotel in Druids Glen in County Wicklow.

Police Sgt. Gerry Curley says no shots were fired and no one was injured during Monday's raid on the Marriott Hotel, according to an AP report.

"The culprits escaped with an undisclosed sum of money," police said in a statement.
