Updated: 2008-11-19 08:22 STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Officials say a plane with 63 people on board lost air pressure after an object hit its windshield and was forced to make an emergency landing at Sweden's Landvetter airport.
Civil aviation spokeswoman Birgitta Eckermark says the Avro RJ 100 jet landed safely at the airport outside Goteborg in southern Sweden. She says none of the 59 passengers or four crew members was injured in Tuesday's incident. The Brussels Airlines flight was on its way to Brussels in Belgium from Stockholm's Bromma airport. Eckermark says the pilot reported seeing an object crash against the window and decided to turn around and make an emergency landing after cabin pressure started to fall. |
