Updated: 2008-09-05 15:07 Lizardman, real name Erik Sprague, has had his teeth filed down to points and Teflon implanted on his forehead to create “horned ridges” above his eyes. The 36-year-old has also had his tongue cut in two to resemble a snake’s, and is able to move both halves independently. Lizardman, from Austin, Texas, showed off the results of his surgery – including 600 hours of work to cover his entire body with tattoos - at a party to celebrate the opening of Ripley’s Believe It or Not in Piccadilly Circus last night. “I’ve had quite a bit done to my body to become the freak I am today,” he said. He was joined at the event by another human freak known as Stalking Cat, who has had a range of plastic surgery to make his face more feline. Dennis Avner, 50, has also had tiger stripes tattooed on his body and attaches synthetic whiskers to a piercing through his lip every day. Ripley’s in London houses more than 500 weird and unusual artifacts, including shrunken heads, a section of the Berlin Wall, and a Mini covered in one million crystals. |
