ISLAMABAD -- At least six people were killed and 10 others injured in a bomb blast in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday, local TV channel DAWN NEWS reported.

The blast occurred on Kohat road in Peshawar, capital city of North West Frontier Province, said the report.

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bus was targeted in the attack. Witnesses said the bus is still burning after the attack.

The PAF bus was heading to a base near Peshawar when it came under attack, the police said.

Six PAF officials were killed while at least 10 others, mostly PAF personnel, suffered injuries in the attack.

The injured have been shifted to local hospitals for treatment.

No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
