It was believed that Bush's tour of China will be the most important in his forthcoming visit to Asia. Bush said last week that the US-China relations are good and important, and that he was honored to be invited to attend the Beijing Olympics.

"It's an opportunity for our two countries, who've got a interesting relationship, to be able to work through common problems and to seize common opportunities," he told reporters from China, South Korea and Thailand at the White House ahead of his Asian trip.

Bush is set to arrive in Seoul, South Korea on Tuesday and leave Thailand on Wednesday.
