Washington -- A magnitude 6.3 aftershock struck India's remote Andaman Islands on Saturday, the US Geological Survey reported.

It said the quake, shallow at 21.7 miles deep (35 km), was centered 90 miles (140 km) southwest of Port Blair.

There was no immediate tsunami warning and a similar magnitude quake on Friday in the same area caused no damage or casualties.
