Ecuador refuses to resume diplomatic ties with Colombia

QUITO - Ecuador will not resume ties with Colombia and does not dismiss the application of commercial restraints in response to the position of inconsistency and incoherence of Bogota's government, Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Maria Isabel Salvador said Tuesday.

"They have talked about postponing the decision, we have taken the decision of not resuming relations with Colombia," Salvador told the press without responding for how long will the rupture last.
