Japan's lower house passes confidence resolution in PM

TOKYO -- The Japanese House of Representatives, or the lower house, passed a confidence resolution in Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda Thursday afternoon to counter a censure motion against the prime minister approved by the House of Councillors, or the upper house, one day earlier.
