Fire breaks out in Russia's military airfield

MOSCOW  -- A military airfield in Russia's north capital of St. Petersburg was caught on fire on Friday, with no casualty reports yet, Interfax said.

"We received a call from the facility and have sent firefighters to the scene. So far we don't have any other information," Interfax cited a spokesman of the Northwestern regional center of the Emergency Situations' Ministry as saying.

Regional emergency authorities say the fire at the military airfield at Lodeinoy Polye, Leningrad region, broke out at about 3:50 p.m. (1150 GMT).
