"An ISAF soldier died Friday from injuries sustained in an explosion during a patrol in southern Afghanistan," the press release added.

However, it did not disclose the date and the exact place of the incident where he faced the fatality.

In the press release the multinational force also did not disclose the nationality of the soldiers, adding ISAF does not release the casualty's nationality prior to the relevant national authority doing so.
