18 flags raised in Universiade Village

Eighteen delegations held flag-raising ceremony in the Universiade Village on Aug 7 and 8.

Of the 18 delegations, Nicaragua has the fewest people with only one delegate; and the Britain and Mexico have the largest delegations, each with 80 delegates.

Wang Suiming, deputy secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Committee and the village chief, delivered a welcome speech at the flag raising ceremony held Sunday afternoon, in which she promised the games village would be home and supply good services to the games athletes.

With the approach of the Universiade, the village will see more and more flag raising ceremonies.
