Vehicles possessing both a free pass and a Universiade vehicle certificate or a temporary Universiade plate are allowed to pass the toll station on the expressway without being charged, the Shenzhen transportation authorities said Thursday.

Toll stations on expressways have opened a special passageway, the left or second to the left entranceway, for vehicles served for Universiade.

Authorities also warned of possible punishment of exposing images of those who seek illegal free pass without required certificates.

About Shenzhen

Shenzhen is located at the southern tip of the Chinese mainland on the eastern bank of the mouth of the Pearl River and neighbors Hong Kong.

The brainchild of Deng Xiaoping, the country's first special economic zone was established here by the Chinese Government in 1980. It has been a touchstone for China's reform and opening-up policy since then.
