Tempers flared when Goias had Danilo Portugal sent off for a second bookable offence in the last minute, following by Ignacio Scocco of Newell's and Aldo of Goias for a penalty area clash in injury-time.

UNAM's hopes ended in Group Six after their defeat in Porto Alegre.

The Pumas made a superb start as midfielder Gerardo Galindo swept home Roma's cross in the fourth minute and Bolivia striker Joaquin Botero scored from a free kick which slipped through Clemer's hands in the 34th.

But Michel and Fernandao scored either side of halftime to level the scores before Adriano latched on to Fernandao's pass to score the winner in the 69th minute.

The visitors had Israel Castro sent off in the 85th minute for a foul on Marcio Mossoro.

Internacional lead the group with ten points from four games while UNAM have no points after losing all four games. In between are Nacional of Uruguay on seven points and Venezuelan champions UA Maracaibo on five.
