To improve medical efficiency and lower cost

Topgradehc healthcare has transported intelligent and hardworking "porter" robots to hospitals. Hospital logistics management is the core of general affairs management, and is the mark of hospital modernization. Hospital operational efficiency greatly depends on hospital logistics efficiency. The carrier robots free doctors from multifarious manual tasks; they not only save manpower cost and financial cost, but also improve hospital management.

Keep clear of barriers, reliable robots

The carrier robot is an auto-oriented carrier vehicle powered by a storage battery. It can transport 100 kilogram containers using its two driving wheels, the max running speed of which is one meter per second; the minimum being three centimeters per second. Optical radar is the most important part of a carrier robot, enabling it to scan the surrounding environment, recognizing building outlines and barriers. If a barrier appears in the safety alert area, the robot will automatically stop and emit a warning.

The carrier robot can transport medicine, small medical equipment, recipes, samples, blood, blood samples, X-rays, dressings, prescriptions and office supplies. It can also carry food and medical waste.

Every robot has own ID transponder to identify different carts. Transponders are located in the carts to communicate commands to the robots.

A carrier robot is able to automatically pick up medicine and enter elevators.

The hospital management interface with the robots is made through the hospital management system. This arrangement allows them, for example, to put medicine on carts according to the medical schedules of patients. The hospital management system gives orders to the robots to pick up prepared medicine from the pharmacy; they then alarm nurses when they reenter the patient area. A fingerprint lock is used in this process to ensure nobody can interfere with the medicines. If the stock of medicine in the pharmacy is below a precaution line, the hospital management system will notify the drug storeroom and order a robot to pick up more medicine. The robot management system also connects to the doors and elevators in the hospital so that they react when the robot is close to them.

In a word, the hospital management system and carrier robots help hospitals to improve their working efficiency through automation and intellectualization.

If a robot’s battery is low, it will look for a power source for charging, and then return to its work automatically. The robot’s battery chip is monitored by a robot group from Topgradehc healthcare group.

Two different products are used on different occasions.

Topgradehc healthcare has both an A type and B type carrier robot. The A type is used in easy environments where it can carry heavy products and take a fixed path. The B type is used in more complicated environments. It has a laser SLAM location system, and a map and navigation system. The B carrier will remember the path it took, which it can retake without further instruction.

In the future, more and more robots will be developed to assist in our daily lives.
