The first credit-based Chinese Massive, Open and Online Courses platform was launched today by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, enabling students from 19 local colleges and universities to earn credits online.

The learning platform, cnmooc.com, is designed to give all Chinese students access to first class university education through online courses.
