According to the organizing committee of the 23rd Qingdao International Beer Festival, as of Aug 18, the eighth day of the festival, the amount of tourists coming to the Qingdao International Beer City of Century Plaza in Laoshan district of Qingdao has reached two million. Tourists have consumed more than 600 tons of beer in all.

"For one thing, a comfortable and pleasant drinking environment is guaranteed in the Beer City, and for another, young people are the main visitors of the festival," said Xia Zhengqi, the general director of the festival.
