Significance of the China-Northeast Asia Expo emblem

The emblem is circular, which signifies the significance of the Northeast Asia region in the globe, as well as communicating a meaning of understanding, justice, fluency and flexibility. It echoes the expo theme of peace, harmony and cooperation.
The emblem is a geomorphic shape, with the map of Northeast Asia as the background. It signifies the geographical importance of this region. Also on the emblem, it marks the geographical location of the expo's permanent venue -- Changchun city in Jilin province.
The "CNEA" on the top of the emblem and the "Expo" in the middle of the emblem is the abbreviation of the expo, signifying the openness and globalization of the expo. The bottom right of the emblem, with the expo's full Chinese and English name, clarifies the theme and makes the whole structure of the logo harmonious and stable.
It features a blue color design and symbolizes the precision, intelligence, development and boundlessness of the expo. It is also a response to the modernization and globalization of the expo.
