Bosch Communication Center is opening a branch in Chengdu, one of southwest China's commercial centers, this October.
"By opening this branch in China, we are expanding our international network to include a strategic growing market. We want to establish ourselves as an international service provider in the area of business process outsourcing," explains Robert Mulatz, head of Bosch Communication Center.
As part of an initial expansion phase, around 50 job vacancies will open up at the new site in Chengdu by the end of 2012. The total number of associates employed at the branch is set to reach 600 by 2017.
The new branch is located in Chengdu's Tianfu Software Park, which is one of China's 10 largest software industry bases and one of China's national software export and innovation bases.
Bosch will provide support to its Chinese customers in China with issues relating specifically to customer service. The center will also provide support for specific processes in areas of finance and accounting, purchasing and human resource management.
These processes include order processing, invoice auditing, accounts receivable management, delivery management, and customer feedback and claim management. Bosch will also focus on complex, technology-related services such as technical helpdesk and IT support.
In addition to Mandarin and English, Bosch Communication Center in China also boasts proficiency in other Asian languages, such as Japanese and Korean.
As an international service provider, Bosch's more than 5,000 associates in Europe, Asia and South America provide services and optimized business processes in over 30 languages.
