The 6th Sichuan Internet Conference was successfully held in Chengdu last month. Over 800 specialists, businessmen, and insiders in the IT industry attended the conference.

The conference is a platform to display Sichuan's excellent local projects in the IT industry. During the conference, ten Internet products were awarded as Top10 Sichuan outstanding creative products in 2011.

Young entrepreneurs in the Chengdu mobile Internet industry drew attention during the event.

Yang Xiangji, founder of the local IT company, Nibirutech, shared experience in his Tap4Fun workshops regarding the operation of the popular game Galaxy Empire.

Luo Chuan, MSN's former China chief, delivered a speech on the development trends and business opportunities of Android applications.

In recent years, outstanding enterprises and products of mobile Internet have emerged in Sichuan. From the perspective of the market and investors, it has become clear that Chengdu has already been playing a leading role in the mobile Internet innovation in China.

"Chengdu has no shortage of innovation genetics," said Zhou Jiang, director of the Tianfu Software Park Business Incubator Platform. "Alongside a vision of the mobile Internet development trend, proper financing time is also necessary for entrepreneurial teams. The external environment should encourage innovations and at the same time tolerate failures. Some of them will bring huge potential to China's mobile Internet industry."

"Advanced coastal cities seem to seldom have competitive advantages in terms of resources, human resource, funding and information in the sector," said an official from the Tianfu Software Park Co Ltd, an industry park for IT and service outsourcing in Chengdu.
