SHANGHAI -- Xiangshan county in Zhejiang province, one of Asia's four famous fishing grounds, will host an Asia-Pacific fishing boat show on Sept 14.
The three-day event, sponsored by China Cruise & Yacht Industry Association (CCYIA) and Xiangshan county government, is expected to draw more than 100 fishing equipment manufacturers, yacht builders and outdoor sailing equipment makers from the United States, Canada, Italy, France, Australia, Singapore, Japan and China.
"The show aims to foster China's yacht-fishing market by introducing a fishing leisure lifestyle,'' said Zheng Weihang, executive vice president of CCYIA.
Zheng said China now has about 400,000 ocean-fishing fans, who are welcome to enjoy yacht-fishing culture by visiting the show.
An international ocean-fishing festival will be held during the show, along with a yacht-fishing salon, said Zheng.
