Chengdu Tianfu New Area will develop in a pattern of “one belt, two wings, one downtown area and six quarters.”

The one belt offers concentrated high-end services, stretching from South Renmin Road to Tianfu Avenue and extends southward along the Tianfu middle axis. After this, it diverts to Longquan Mountain and the Three Forks Lake.

The two wings are industrial functional belts in the east and west. They are comprised of the Chengmei high-tech and strategic emerging industrial accumulation zone and the high-end manufacturing functional belt of the Longquan economic development zone.

The downtown area refers to Tianfu Economic Development Zone, one of the 13 strategic functional areas put forward by the Chengdu municipal Party Committee last year.

It will assume main city high-end functions, prioritize service roles of central businesses, headquarters offices, and cultural administrations. It will develop into the main center of the region for production organization and residency.

The six quarters are six industrial comprehensive functional zones separated according to the leading industries and ecological functions. They will bring about the industrial concentration effect with supporting service functions for production and daily living.
