Zhongshan Road - the emperor's carriage way in Hangzhou

A wall with an old bicycle and wooden stairs and door, which are often seen in housing communities in the 1970's and 1980's of China, is seen at one end of a major street in downtown Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang province in this photo taken on April 21, 2010. The north-south Zhongshan Road, located on the principal axis of Hangzhou city, used to be the road for the Emperor's carriage in the Southern Song Dynasty, during which Hangzhou, then called Lin'an, was its capital.
