China's authorities will permit Taiwan's cars to drive on the mainland, the Hong Kong-based Wenhuipo reported.

Fujian province is prepared to welcome Taiwan cars, including trucks, sedans and locomotives, which have to first confirm with Fujian customs to be granted temporary drivers' licenses and plates.

Cars from Taiwan will then be free to travel in Fujian within a specified time limit, according to reports.
