Harbin to seek partners in HK

The event will be held from November 9 to 13 at the Hong Kong International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
A part of the event, the Harbin Business Day will be staged on November 11.
The major theme is "investing in Harbin and revitalizing the city's traditional industries."
Top Harbin leaders will meet Hong Kong business chiefs, visit the region's enterprises and talk with investors who have made investment in Harbin.
Prior to the showcase, meetings will be held with Hong Kong's tourism authorities and operators on the evening of November 10 at Hong Kong Renaissance Harbour View Hotel.
A tourist resource sharing agreement will be signed.
On November 11, a movie featuring Harbin's winter scenery will be shown at the Hong Kong Exhibition Centre.
An introduction of investment projects for the restructuring of Harbin's traditional industrial bases, which will begin at 10:30, November 11 at Hong Kong Exhibition Centre, will mark the inauguration of the Harbin Business Day.
The introduction will be made by the Harbin Commission of Reform and Development. And 300 peopleincluding government officials and business representatives will attend the activity.
A batch of investment projects, involving industrial restructuring, State assets transfer, infrastructure construction, organic food processing, banking and finance and other industries will be released to Hong Kong's investors.
The city's State asset regulatory commission officials will introduce Harbin's preferential policies in State-owned enterprise asset restructuring and equity transfer.
At the same time, Harbin and Hong Kong officials will jointly hold a forum on the economic co-operation under the CEPA (closer economic partnership arrangement) framework.
The event is organized by the Harbin municipal government and co-organized by the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and the Dakunpao newspaper.
