Jose Hernandez, 24, poses for photographers with his prosthetic leg in El Progreso June 24, 2010. A migrant worker on his way to the U.S., Hernandez was ran over by a train in Mexico in 2004 and lost his arm and right leg, as well as three fingers on his left hand. According to a local migrants organization, thousands of Central Americans - predominantly from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala - cross Mexico's southern border to the U.S. every year on a train popularly known as "the train of death", during which many die or get seriously injured falling off from crowded trains.
