Huang Youqiang, born in 1918, was the Squad Chief in the artillery unit of the 36th Regiment, 116th Division of the 53rd Army of the Expeditionary Force. He fought in the Battle of Nanchang, the Gaoligong Mountain Counterattack Battle and the Battle of Recovering Tengchong. They made expeditions in the western regions of Yunnan Province and fought their way across the Nujiang River.
Li Gaocai, born in 1923, was the assistant platoon chief of the special task company of the 227th Regiment, 76th Division, 2nd Army of the Expeditionary Force. He fought in the battle of Songshan.
