Military service, recruit Zhang's family rite

Miltary service is a tradition in Zhang's family, wherein his great-grandfather joined the legendary New Fourth Army in 1943 amid the Anti-Japanese War (1937-1945) and died on the battle ground in Korean War (1950 - present); his grandfather was a decorated PLA veteran and his father got serious injured in 1982 while serving at the engineer corps.
