Chinese government’s rescue effort in recent disasters has won renown form the world, but some foreign media still doubt that the government conceals some negative information. A netizen of bbs.chinadaily.com.cn, polaris1120 talked about this issue from his/her view:

Chinese government's efforts to save quake victims in Yushu, Qinghai province are witnessed by the international community this week. The rescue work is racing against time and more relief workers and aid resource are sending to that area.

Just like Sichuan earthquake two years ago, the government chooses to quickly cover news about the relief and update the information efficiently. Foreign media have praised China's work this time but still doubt that the government has the intention to cover up the situation of certain topics in Qinghai. Since two yeas ago, parents of students killed by fallen school buildings accused officials' corruption of causing the shabby quality of those classrooms.

However the international media, except for those ill-disposed ones whose purpose is to ruin China's reputation, should recognize that China is trying its best to dispatch aid and fully cover the information. People can know how many people have been saved, what is going on there and what will be done in the short future via Chinese media like radio, TV, newspaper and the Internet. A large number of qualified reporters are sent there to report latest news. I believe that the government will do better than in Sichuan earthquake.

The biggest difference this time may be that most of residents in Yushu are Tibetan who may have language barriers with rescue workers. But according to the news that patients are accompanied with local medical workers who can act as interpreters. For those who claimed that Tibetan people are forced to abandon their own dialects, this is the best fact to fight back their groundless accusation. This also proves that the central government cares about minority's safety and happiness as well as Han people.
