Urumqi's Economic and Technological Development Zone draws overseas talents

Some five enterprises located in the Economic and Technological Development Zone, in Urumqi city, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region reached agreements with seven overseas scholars on the Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology from Dec 21 to 22, 2015.

The seven scholars included one French postdoctoral, three overseas doctoral and three masters candidates.

The government of the development zone attaches great importance to human resources and intends to promote economic development and innovation through talented people.

The development zone's delegation has introduced favorable policies and high-tech projects at the Guangzhou convention to attract overseas scholars.
