Northeast China's Liaoning province confirmed two new COVID-19 cases on June 13, according to an announcement made the following day by the provincial health commission.
Commission officials said the two were both in the capital city of Shenyang and were both asymptomatic cases diagnosed a day earlier, as well as being close contacts of patients confirmed in Beijing on June 12.
At the end of June 13, the province had reported 151 confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 147 were cured, two were under treatment and two died.
Due to the new cases in the city, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport announced on June 13 that from 8 pm that night, all people from Fengtai district, Yuetan sub-district in Xicheng district and Changyang town in Fangshan district of Beijing -- where new COVID-19 cases were confirmed -- need to undergo 14 days of quarantine.
