An online bookstore for traditional handicrafts and other intangible cultural heritages was recently launched in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province, becoming the first of its kind in the city, according to local reports.
Thousands of books on intangible cultural heritages and arts were launched, as well as more than 1,000 kinds of cultural and creative products.
Officials said that the online store aims to promote intangible cultural heritage items to more people and attempts to tackle problems such as limited resources in improving cultural skills and insufficient innovation.
The founder of the online bookstore said that a brick-and-mortar store will also open in the city, to promote intangible cultural heritage in innovative ways.
