10 high-quality tourist routes in Shenyang economic zone

The Shenyang economic zone, a regional development area launched by the provincial government in Northeast China's Liaoning province, consists of five cities in the province -- Shenyang, Anshan, Fushun, Benxi and Liaoyang. The economic zone now offers 10 high-quality tourist routes for visitors.

Route 1: Travel back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911)

Sites include: the Shenyang Imperial Palace, Zhaoling Tomb, Fuling Tomb, Khan Palace Relics Exhibition Hall, Yong'an Bridge, Yongling Tomb in Fushun, Hot Spring Temple in Benxi and the Dongjing Tomb in Liaoyang.

Route 2: Travel back to the Republic of China (1912-1949)

Sites include: Shenyang Marshal Zhang's Mansion Museum, the Financial Museum, the Huanggutun Incident Museum, Zhongshan Square, the mansions of Yang Yuting, Sun Liechen, Wang Mingyu, Chang Yinhuai and Wu Junsheng and the Mansion of Zhang Zuolin in Benxi.

Route 3: Tour industrial culture

Sites include: Industrial Museum of China, SAC Aviation Expo Park, BMW Brilliance Tiexi Manufacturing Factory, 1905 Cultural and Creative Park, Hongmei Cultural and Creative Park, Fengtian Memory Cultural and Creative Park, Ansteel Museum in Anshan, Fushun Coal Mine Museum and Benxi Lake Industrial Heritage Group.

Route 4: Learn revolutionary culture

Sites include: the 9.18 Historical Museum, the Memorial Hall of the Former Site of CPC's Manchuria Provincial Committee, Shenyang Exhibition Hall of the Former Site of WWII Allied Prisoner-of-war Camp, Shenyang Exhibition Hall of the Former Site of the Tribunal for the Trial of Japanese War Criminals, Anshan 12.9 Park and Fushun Lei Feng Memorial Hall.

Route 5: Experience unique landscapes

Sites include: Shenyang Guai Po, Anshan Qianshan Mountain Giant Buddha, Benxi Water Tunnel, Hugu Gorge and Liaoyang Cold and Hot Park.

Route 6: Trace historical sites

Sites include: Shenyang Chang'an Temple, Shengjing Forest of Steles, Yong'an Bridge, Anshan Qianshan Mountain, Benxi Miaohou Mountain, the Fushun Gaoer Mountain Ancient Pagoda and Liaoyang Dagoba.

Route 7: Find ecological civilization

Sites include: Shenyang Expo Garden, Qipan Mountain Scenic Area, National Forest Park, Shenyang Bird Island, Kangping Wolong Lake Scenic Area, Anshan Qianshan Mountain Scenic Area, Fushun Sankuaishi National Forest Park, Benxi Maple Valley National Forest Park and the Liaoyang Taizi River Scenic Area.

Route 8: Enjoy hot springs

Sites include: Anshan Tanggangzi Hot Spring, Liaoyang Gongchangling Hot Spring, Benxi Tianzhu Hot Spring, Fushun Fengyuan HotGo Hot Spring World, Shenyang Beitang Hot Spring and Seven Star Ocean World.

Food include: Laobian Dumplings, Ma's Steamed Dumplings, Anshan Niuzhuang Pie, Fushun Eight Bowls of the Manchu Ethnic Group, Benxi Mutton Soup and Liaoyang Tanghe River Fish Feast.

Route 10: Enjoy shopping time
