Shenyang invites teenagers to find city’s beauty in spring

Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on April 24 launched an event themed on “inviting teenagers to speak for Shenyang’s spring,” according to local reports.

Hosted by Shenyang culture, tourism, radio, and television bureau, Shenyang culture and tourism group and the Shenyang federation of literary and art circles, the event is being supported by a host of media platforms.

Officials explained that as part of the city’s spring tourism activities, the event aims to rediscover Shenyang’s beauty in the eyes of teenagers, who can celebrate its fair charms in paintings, photography, writing and readings.

Participants in the painting category can explore Shenyang’s characteristics, flowers and plants, scenic spots and draw on its history.

Those participating in the writing group can depict Shenyang in the form of an article or a letter to teenagers from outside Liaoning province and invite them to visit Shenyang.

While participants in the photography category and reading groups can record Shenyang’s beauty in photos and audios.

The organizers said all works are to be submitted online assisted by parents and teachers, with the top ones to be selected to go on display in a special column of the website http://www.ln.xinhuanet.com/.
