Shenyang looks for spring short video, photographic works

Shenyang -- capital city of Northeast China's Liaoning province -- is looking for excellent short videos and photographic works that can showcase the city's beauty in spring, according to local officials.

They said the initiative, in the form of a competition with prizes, aims to promote Shenyang's natural landscape and rich tourism resources in the spring and help revitalize the tourism sector.

Themed on Shenyang's spring, the move to collect the works kicked off on April 15 and all photographers can participate. Officials said it is being hosted by the Shenyang culture, tourism, radio, and television bureau, Shenyang tourism group and the Shenyang federation of literary and art circles.

Arrangements

1. Deadline for collection and selection: June 1

2. Range of collection:

The works collected will be divided into two categories: short videos and photographs. The works must reflect the beauty of Shenyang's spring, not only limited to scenery, but also record scenes of eating, living, traveling and entertainment, etc.

3. Work requirements:

(1) The works must be healthy, positive and must not involve pornography, violence, or privacy. The entries must be original works. If related legal disputes are involved, the responsibility of the entries shall be entirely borne by the participants themselves.

(2) The work must reflect the beauty of Shenyang's spring, not only limited to the scenery but also record the scenes of eating, living, traveling, and entertainment, etc.

(3) There is no limit to the number of entries and you can participate in the short video contest and the photography contest at the same time.

(4) Specifications for short video works: the duration of short video release should not exceed 60 seconds and there should be no watermark, and a high-definition vertical screen within 30 seconds is the best.

(5) Specifications for photographs: JPEG format pictures, [vertical version pictures] resolution is not less than 72 pixels, the size of the long side is not less than 1280px (for example: 720px*1280px vertical version) and the upload specification single picture is not greater than 5mb. [Horizontal version pictures] resolution is not less than 72 pixels, the size of the long side is not less than 1920px (for example: 1920px*1080px horizontal version), while the upload specification single picture is not greater than 5mb.

5. Selection method:

(1) Short video group and photography group are selected separately.

(2) Comprehensive evaluation based on whether the specifications of the work meet the requirements, whether the content is relevant and the number of likes for the work (the number of likes is until 12:00 hrs on June 1).

Selection results announcement

The results of the selection will be announced on June 10, on the official website, official WeChat account and the official Weibo account of the Shenyang culture, tourism, radio, and television bureau.

Notification time for receiving prizes: June 11-13

Time and place for receiving prizes: subject to further notice of the organizing committee.

Awards

1. The short video group: one first prize, two second prizes, 10 third prizes and 30 finalist prizes.

2. The photography group: one first prize, two second prizes and 10 third prizes.

The first prize winners will receive an award certificate and tourism ticket package worth more than 5,000 yuan ($706.68); the second prize winners will receive an award certificate and tourism ticket package worth more than 2,600 yuan; the third prize winners will receive an award certificate and tourism ticket package worth more than 1,000 yuan; the finalist prize winners will receive an award certificate, a limited edition box of mineral water sponsored by Fengtian Memory Cultural and Creative Park and a souvenir.

For the works and award-winning works participating in this competition, the author has the copyright and signature rights and the organizer has the permanent use right.

(2) The organizer has the right to use the work for exhibitions, publicity and publication purposes.
